Martin Vorel (born in 1983 in Prague) is a Czech self-taught photographer whose work is well described by the term minimalist fine art photography. He has been involved in Buddhism since his youth, studied Mongolian studies at Charles University in Prague, and spent a year at the Mongolian State University of Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia, where he occasionally returns as a tourist guide.
The Buddhist view of the world also significantly influences his work. His photographs are mostly black and white and show his view of unique shapes created by nature. His photographs create a calm and simple impression and allow us to stop and meditate for a while in today's ever-accelerating world, full of things and experiences.
Martin Vorel also distributes some of his photographs free of charge under an open license on the Libreshot website, which he created in 2014.
